About Us

Hummocks Station Team

Your hosts are the husband and wife team of Merry Canavan and Roger Duance. Both have travelled many parts of the world for both business and pleasure, giving them a true understanding of the importance of customer service.  They have recently retired so they can spend more time at Hummocks Station and enjoy the lifestyle country living offers

Merry, a former Health Informatics Consultant & critical care registered nurse has held a variety of senior management roles in healthcare. For relaxation Merry is a student viticulturist, food and wine enthusiast, and is taking flying lessons.

Roger, an engineer and collector of “just about anything”, has been flying aircraft for 40 years. Something of a “Jack of all trades”, and given time, Roger can repair almost anything. For relaxation Roger is an avid reader and a lover of classical music.

Bella is a Tri Colour Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is seen throughout the day either following Merry in the vines, or asleep in Roger’s Ute.  Although she will seem to tell you otherwise, she is fed twice each day!

Spice Girl, a Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, has an adorable personality and will certainly warm your heart when you visit us.
