Hummocks Station Art Gallery

Hummocks station Art Gallery has 60 metres of white walls and hanging space, which allows over 50 paintings to be hung. It is the home gallery of local award winning artists Marek & Anna Herburt, who maintain a collection of their works on the walls in between various exhibitions at the gallery. Well known potter Chris Guthleben (Penneshaw, KI) also displays her work which is inspired by the beauty of the changing colours and textures of Kangaroo Island.

Exhibitions
“On the Trail: from Snowtown to Balaklava” exhibition is part of the Adelaide Plains Cup Festival 2009. The exhibition runs Feb 27 until March 29 2009, opening times   Friday, Saturday & Sundays 11am -4pm & by appointment. Official Opening and launch of DIY Art Trail from Snowtown to Balaklava on Saturday 28th   at 11am by Jessica Dames, Inaugural Chair Independent Arts Foundation, Clare Region. Local artists are Anna & Marek Herburt, Valerie Veitch, Jeannette Muller, Jen Searle, Ana Tossell & Roland Weight. All art work & pottery is for sale. Weekend Art Retreats
Workshops with Artist in Residence Roland Weight
Workshop 1: Saturday 28th 1pm – 5pm $60
Workshop 2: Sunday 1st March 11am – 5pm $75 (lunch available or BYO)

Both workshops are en plein air ; within the picturesque surrounds of Hummocks Station. Bring your own paints (acrylic, oils, charcoal etc), brushes and easel
