Hummocks Station Art Gallery

Hummocks station Art Gallery has 60 metres of white walls and hanging space, which allows over 50 paintings to be hung. It is the home gallery of local award winning artists Marek & Anna Herburt, who maintain a collection of their works on the walls in between various exhibitions at the gallery.

Portraits, an exciting new art competition is open to all schoolchildren in the Yorke/Mid North Region of SA.
It is open to all school in the DECS Yorke / Mid Nth region. Entry is free, needs parental consent on the entry form.
All entries will be exhibited during SALA (South Australian Living Artists) Festival 30 July – 22 August 2010 at Hummocks Station Art Gallery. Prizes of each category and presentation to all entries will be made during the opening of SALA.

The competition will be judged in the following categories, Years 1,2,3; 4,5,6,7; high school students by a small group comprising of at least 1 art teacher from a participating school together with local award winning artists.

A local artist is visiting some schools to give a demonstration on observation in portrait painting during Term 2. A further session at Hummocks Station Art gallery will be held on Sunday May 2, 2010 from 2pm.
